We're Still Here!
So a recent vacation to Gatlinburg, our usual doctors appointments and here we are in the middle of May?!?! I did a silly photo shoot with Gweny the other night. She is TOOOOOOOOO much! I have a few shots from Gatlinburg and just silly shots in general that I will be posting over the next few days. Enjoy.

Challenging Day
So I know every mom has had that day when you really just wonder how you're going to make it to bed time, honestly?!?! Yesterday was totally that day for our family. I went to work with the intention of getting doctors appointments for the girls because of their various concerns which I'll share later. I of course had some pretty severe ear pain but I mean, that wasn't priority (Moms follow me!). So I got them a five o'clock appointment and at 3:00 that afternoon I almost couldn't hear, move my jaw, or swallow and at that point I realized I REALLY needed to call the doctor. So I called and got in at 3:30. Then the whirlwind begins.
I have swimmers ear?!?!?!?!?!? No clue how it came about but it's resulted in ear drops and an oral antibiotic for the next ten days also if there is no resolve its to the ENT for me?!?!?!? HONESTLY??
Next I run to grab the girls and head for their appointment. BRUTAL. We started with Hadley, who went for a scratch on her diaper line on her backside that had turned bad, very bad. It had some pus on it and was INCREDIBLY red over the weekend, so bad she would grab her backside and say "owwwwweeeeeee, my back mama." Nothing worse than that. I do have to say I was putting neosporin on it for the past week with no change. Bless her heart they had to extract some major amounts of pus and she just laid on her belly SWEATING like crazy and asking for her uh-oh (pacifier). Luckily we had one, she took it and just whimpered will they continued to milk this wound for about 5 minutes and three sheets of gauze (HORRIBLE?!?!?!) Then on top of it she was fused again (in her girlie parts) so we had to turn her over and deal with that. GOODNESS. Her situation has required both and oral antibiotic and a cream for the next ten days. Hadley and I were both sweating when all was said in done then her sissy got up there and Hadley says, "down mama. Sissy okay? It's okay sissy, it's okay." When did she grow up so much????????
Then comes little Ms Gweny who now has FOUR TEETH!!!!! Those two top teeth have made there way through officially on Sunday. Of course, as always she has a double ear infection. With smooth talking I was able to convince them to write a script for the next 32 days (her surgery is scheduled for 6/4!)
So next Mark takes the girls home and I spend an hour at CVS waiting patiently to get all five scripts and drop a small fortune after $60 worth of copays. UGH. THEN we are all at home and Mark says..."it feels like a marble is in the back of my throat." THE ONLY PERSON NOT ON ANTIBIOTICS?!
We survived the evening, thank goodness but my girls (well all the Goins girls) still aren't back on track completely, but I have full faith we will be in time for our family vacation!!!!!!
These two pics are precious. The first is Hadley's version of helping (aka got free and touched the paint while wet!!!!!!)
Last is my FAVORITE. Two peas in a pod, watching gabgab and looking way to cute!

The New House
So we have been sooooooo busy. This weekend we had a paint party (we called it a party but there was nothing "party" like about it). On Friday night Mark & I went over to start painting which was a disaster because the girls were with us which meant utter chaos?! We tried so hard but only got our bedroom and Hads room painted. We also managed to have a window come off track and blow in resulting in shattering which was STELLAR, but I rigged a great trashbag/duct tape fix!!! Saturday we had a family party and cirque de soleil which was GREAT.
First thing this morning we picked up the girls and headed for a 10 hour marathon. Thank goodness for helpful family members : ) James came over till Mandie was done with church and they busted out Gweny's bedroom, the kitchen and our master bath quick as could be. Then Mandie helped entertain the girls and we got the rest done (well the first coat?!?!?!?!??!!). I forgot how much work goes into a house. There's still a lot to get accomplished- painting cabinets in kitchen, painting all the doors, second coat of everything thus far, new counter top and new kitchen floor....that's the required before we move but we also have some basement work (painting the floors, fixing a leak....ugh). In the end this is going to be worth it but how much my body aches right now I'm wondering. Luckily my girls were so good, dealing with a new place and confined spaces (yes I did have them in pack and plays sometimes!!!!!!). Oh, and I almost forgot the much needed milkshake break provided by Grandpa Goins!
Here's how it looks so far, please remember it's on a cell phone camera so the colors aren't as "vibrant" as they are in real life!
Main bath, it's a beige color.
This is the dinning room which is a part of the living room and it has a slightly darker green to provide a contrast...notice the BEAUTIFUL chandelier (HAHAH?!)
This is the living room, it's more of a light olive green...it does look kind of like pea green in this pic ha!
This is the kitchen, the color is a creamy brown...me like!
This is how the girls helped, remained on the rug and watched GabGab OVER and OVER and OVER!
This is Gweny's room, the color is a pale purple/pink, it's called Soft Heather and I LOVE IT. I plan to put up a mural in a darker purple but that will happen after we live there...
This is our room. The color is a chocolate grey that's called PUDDLE. It is so "mature" as I tell Mark.
Last is our bathroom, yes, we HAVE OUR OWN BATHROOM!!!!!!!!!! I've always wanted a red bathroom and well, here is is. The color is "daredevil!"
I don't know what happened to the picture of Hadley's room, but it's sky blue- the color of Todee for those that know Yo Gabba Gabba. Hadley runs in today and says "Grrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen." I said, oh MAN?!?! It matches her sheets and Yo Gabba Gabba theme perfectly. We may put a mural in chaulk paint, but well it depends on my exhausted level if we aim for #3 once we move in (NO GUARANTEES!!!!)
