Preview for Fall Pix

I think this combo collage shows the difference in my girls. Gweny is all crazy and playful and Hadley is just chill, calm and innocent looking. These dresses were a Gabriel Brothers snag that probably won't work perfectly for another season but they saw them and had to wear them.

Party #2 for the TWO Year Old :)

After a crazy whirlwind on Monday we came back to do a party on Tuesday after work (her actual birthday). Mark and I woke her up singing Happy Birthday, I can't say she enjoyed it as much as we did!
She wore her new ladybug shirt and skinny girl jeans for the day, before coming home and changing into her special birthday tee: "Happy Birthday to me..." We had Mark's family and a few friends come over for the festivities...lots of toddlers bouncing around in the back yard. Lilly going in the house, Carter recovering from the step down and Gweny being cuddled by Miss Holly as I'm sure she gets often during the day.

Mark was so proud of this lady bug cake. I bought the cake pan and he went away with the decorating...it sort of looks like a lady bug :) At least Gweny thought so when she yelled, "buuug."

She did a little bit better at this party with people singing to her than she did at the day before, maybe she had a clue it was coming this time!

Gweny was a little fearful of the candles- hott, hottt she said so Hadley stepped up and took over...

While I was busy dishing up cake for everyone Gweny some how got a piece for herself and had fun eating it solo with no adults around...except those encouraging and taking pictures (Grandparents?!)

And a mess was created.

Who me?

Looking innocent...

But definitely guilty...

Yet going for more...

Next was the presents, chaos at its finest. She got soooo many wonderful things. Some days I am taken back by how many people love my crazy kids. I often just see what their bad behaviors are but I don't always get to see their interactions with friends and family. The ones that would fill my heart with joy. They are two loved and cherished girls.

My girlfriend got her a radio that she can sing along to the princess songs. Granted its perfect for Gweny she is into singing all of a sudden (more of a continuous yell) but it doesn't have a volume control....paybacks will be given (her son is 5 months younger than Gweny and I do my best to find the LOUD toys for her!!!!)

She loves to attempt to clean so Mark and I got her a broom and mop set, which turned into a horrible idea after the party because Hadley and Gweny have been using them as swords...needless to say they are in the closet until we get a little bit bigger and understand the purpose...

Last was the present from Grandpa and Uncle Wyatt. A crazy ramp with lots of cars...they loved it and still play with it every night...of course they haven't learned that it takes batteries and makes even more sounds quite yet (till Pawpaw comes in town and figures it out)

Hadley was determined to wear Gweny's princess shirts that she got for her birthday, with the matching princess glasses....what a diva.

Slow and Steady

Better late than never, I am just now posting Gweny's birthday party pictures. I feel super guilty since it is about six weeks since the festivities, but I really want to post some new fall pictures I took of the kiddos this weekend at mom and dads.  The party was great time, around lunch on Labor Day.

Silly Mason was trying to do his funny face...I missed it but this is pretty cute.

Not so sure why Gweny looks so warn out, but look at the little ones :)

So happy!

After all the presents were opened and packed back up for the van ride home, Gweny decided to carry them around?!?! What a nut.

Her face is priceless in this photo. We got her a scanner that prices the groceries as you put them in the bag, it's pretty cute and of course it teaches colors and numbers too!

Classic two year old. Fascinated with the bag.

My little ladybug got her own ladybug back pack...with a new outfit, hair things, and nail polish :)

We skipped out on cake and did little lady bugs (oreo cookies dipped in red chocolate).

Hadley ate 2 before anyone else got their first one down...

"Buuuuug."

The black food coloring for dots originally seemed like a good idea!!

Gweny was anxious when everyone was singing to her. Just not quite sure what to do!

Before the guests arrived, Hadley was catching up on the comics?!?????

This sideways head pose is special.

Birthday baby girl :)

She knew something was up. We put her in a dress and kept begging for her to spin and say two...

Great grandma Lucy got her the perfect card- princess and the frog with smoochy lips :)

 She just couldn't get enough...
 Sweet girl.
 Lovely lady bugs...
Daddy's balloons which took a full 90 minutes to obtain and he even popped one, trying to marker spots on them!!!
Showing off in her dress...

Goins Girls

I know I've said it before, but my girls really do surprise me everyday. I turned around to tell Hadley something the other day in the car and they were riding like this...

I worry what another girl will do to the bunch but then I realize Parker will be in the middle holding each of their hands and it makes me smile :)

Gweny is something else...what can I say. She was enjoying her sisters highlights magazine, how about the pose??

We decided to do a craft from the family fun magazine. Hadley had one purple line on her and then there was Gweny....

YeY for decoration time :) Pumpkins are all up, scarecrows, cornstalks and of course our blow up. It takes us forever to get in the house because the girls have to touch or talk to all of them before they go inside!! HAPPY FALL!!!!!!

THREE GIRLS??????????????????????

Okay so some of you knew my game plan for finding out the sex of our third baby. I scheduled my ultrasound a week early without telling Mark in order to get the sex in an envelope and both of us find out on our anniversary at dinner. I had even contacted a bakery that was going to make a gender cake- the outside is neutral, so white or cream with yellow or brown writing, and the inside is dyed pink or blue accordingly. All was going as planned. I saw the ultrasound tech, and looked away while she did the sex identification. She printed the picture, folded it, and put it in an envelope. She reminded me not to watch the DVD because the sex ID was going to on there. All was going well. Then I go back into the waiting room and wait to see the doctor. While I'm being escorted  back to the exam room, one of the nurses says "So three girls huh?" I was HOPING she was talking to someone else, not because the three girls part but because I really didn't want to know without Mark there. My nurses says, "Yeah, three girls right?" I say, "Please say you aren't talking to me because I wasn't finding out." Their faces were devestated. I completely gathered myself and tried to play it off. I didn't even cry or tear up...very strange reaction for a hormonal pregnant woman.  I then shared with them the story surrounding what my plans were previously. The good outcome of the visit was that Baby Parker is healthy- head to toe, perfect :) I was worried how to tell Mark because I didn't want him to be upset I went early without him and found out by myself. He of course didn't care one bit. I handed him a bag with three girl baby dolls and a squirt gun and told him he will either need one or the other, or both of these with the sex of our Parker. He was confused, then we watched the ultrasound with the girls who kept screaming "Baby Parker, Baby Parker," and we found out as a family that they girls are getting another sister which was totally awesome.  So after I explained to Mark they he needed all the items, because he was having three girls he definitely needed a gun!!!!
I am actually happy about this. As most of you know I had switched to wanting a girl mostly because the whole sister bond and I obviously know what to do with girls, plus I have everything I need and don't have to worry about buying anything but diapers for Parker. Hadley loves saying her name and saying she is going to have two sisters. It is sweet. The middle name is under construction spelling wise but it will be some form of Hennie (Grandpa's name without the r so initially we said heny but that's fairly manly). Our last baby gets to honor grandparents from both side of the family, which is a huge change for us, but one I will cherish. I'm not brave enough to get a tattoo like my brother, but everytime I say Parker Hennie (when she's in trouble) it will make me think of Grandpa Hank which is only fitting :) Enjoy these beautiful pictures. She was such a drama queen with her hands while we were getting the ultrasound.
One big 12 ounce baby girl with a great looking brain, heart, kidneys, spine and bones. They didn't take a picture but one view had her feet going crazy and nothing else. It was precious. For once the head isn't measuring big. BIZARRE right??

Okay, so right arm is up on eye lid, left arm as a whole is not in the 4D image, the base looks like a spoon. You can definitely make out the lips and nose...

Lasly the one announcing it's a GIRL. The text is in the middle of the picture in the white band. Mark swears he sees a penis, but the ultrasound shows better images of the actual girl parts so I am fairly confident they got it right...

Parker Hennie is due to meet everyone right around her big sister's birthday, February 21st, 2012.
