Coldwater Lake

It's so fun getting a chance to visit my sister at their lake.  There's never a dull moment in the park with all their neighbors whom I have grown to love over the eight or so years I've been going up. In addition I love getting to see the kids push their limits in the water. My kiddos do not get tons of water experience but this summer, the one trip, they became FISH???????

Little man showing us the ropes!

These two weren't sure right away about tubing so they watched for the first round. Mae is showing em like a real pro!

Hadley decided as long as she had a passenger she could go for it...

Nailed it. They loved it!

After a day of sun and water it was cuddle time!

Grandma and grandpa spoiling their kiddos (and enjoying adult beverages)!

Oh me oh my that is some fantastic water and sand hair.

This series of photos gives you a peek into what I do in order to attempt a picture. They despise sitting still and it makes me nuts. So I try, try, and try again....HA nightmare.

Out on Sunday for some last minute riding...

Two peas in a pod...

Oh mister.

Mae for round two!

Convinced Gweny to give it a whirl. My back and butt may never be the same even though it lasted a matter of two minutes. She was in utter panic IMMEDIATELY!

However quickly recovered...

Good times. Great memories. So blessed.

Projects

My mom bought this chair in 1978 for my brother and then used it for all of us kids. She was planning to take it to a garage sale until I confiscated it...with plans of some sort to get rid of that gold and seal it up so it could be my porch, reading chair.

After a lot of weeks of sanding, paint choices, multiple coats, and a final furniture seal and here is the end product. Mark suggested the yellow, I was just planning on blue. He doesn't know Lincolnview colors, but amazingly appropriate for this Lancer house :)

Our television stand has always driven me nuts. I feel like I restack the videos daily, move things here and there and clean the finger prints off?!?! So now that we don't have cable and need to be able to actually access devices behind the glass, I decided to make it a project. From boring.....

To fun :)

Studious Group

We were having a glasses fashion day...because our family is smart like that, or at least can pretend to look smart :)

I see a professor in her future, minus the shirtless, diaper apperance it's there.

Mark's Ipod

Very infrequently Mark clears off his Ipod. He always has it handy in his pocket so often catches those very special moments.

She's got her mom's born to ride blood, starting young.

He is probably mad about these pictures but I AM PROUD. He was searched out and asked to have his woodturning pieces for sale at this shop. It is called Once I Was in Van Wert. It is such a cute store and unfortunately every time I go in....I spend too much $ but a perfect addition to Van Wert.

This summer he also stepped out of his comfort zone and entered pieces in the art competition and of course because he is amazing things were accepted. Two of his three. Very proud!!!

Rough days after work mean sprinkler time for the whole family- mom enjoys her beverages at the same time but nothing better to cool down both my mood and my temperature!

Sometimes she likes the sprinkler, sometimes she runs straight to dad in terror.

High heels were a must try, she is older than one now?!?!?! At first she couldn't stop twisting her ankles, but eventually got the hang of it.

For the fourth of July we ventured with the Stroh family to a lake somewhere in Indiana. Holly's brother, Ben does an AWESOME Fireworks show, so we ditched the kiddos and came out for the festivities :)

Gorgeous lake front place :)

Of course, what is Cincinnati without swimming fun?! Parker's first experience at Miss Holly's pool and she was A FISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And my other fishy :)

My three precious girlies.

She's too cool for words.

This series CRACKS me up. This is my lost, then recovered tote I was so excited to have. I couldn't decide where in the house I wanted to use it so it was just laying in the kitchen....then the girls had their way...

Even Lexi had to check up on em...

Oh my.

Kiddos and painting, they are obsessed so they get to wear daddy's shirts. Too Sweet.

Peony Parade

Toward the end of May we took the kiddos to the Peony Parade which of course was a disaster...We thought we'd get there a few minutes early for a seat, then the parade didn't get to us until twenty minutes after seating. Parker proceeded to flip out of a chair onto the concrete and get a HUGE knot on her head.

woohooo look how thrilled they are

Her hair on her right side is covering if but you can see where it's wet from the ice we attempted to put on it until she threw a fit!

Getting ready to stand for the flag.
