With all the excitement of our new addition I didn't get to take the time Saturday to write about my grown up FOUR year old. Hadley Ellyce turned 4 on Saturday. FOUR? How did that happen. It seems like just yesterday we drove her home from the hospital, going about thirty mile per hour on a snowy day scared and overwhelmed what we were going to do with her now that they were letting us go home, alone?!?! I remember all the emotions we had- joy, terror, confusion, overwhelming love, amazement...just a flood of emotions. She was such a sweet baby, helping me learn how to be a mom and being very patient throughout the entire process. This was her first picture...
Now she has two younger sisters and continues to surprise us everyday. She is wanting to be so big and just has so much love for her sisters. She keeps us on our toes, but overall is really a great kid. Wanting to learn and play, all the while being an energized four year old that tests limits but knows her boundaries too. We are so thankful she is our Hadley.
Because Parker's pending arrival we had her party two weekends ago (pics will come I promise) so for her actual day we had my mom pick her up and ice cream cake, something she asked for ;) Also, we got her two balloons which made her so happy!!!! We sang Happy Birthday then enjoyed some delicious ice cream cake!!
Until we cut it, she didn't understand how it was ice cream but thought it was beautiful.
As I said, we all enjoyed the cake...check out this mug?!?!
Here is a sneak peak of Hadley from her birthday celebration. Daddy of course made her cake :)
