On Sunday, I woke up with a heavy heart. I knew my oldest two girlies were leaving for the ENTIRE week. I haven't left them this long well, not since Mexico when Gweny was all of 3 months old. I had a lot of emotions flowing that day. The girls again acted like it was Christmas that Parker was still at our house. Making over her in the most beautiful way. We continue to have to work on boundaries but that is not going to go away for quite some time. Them going to my parents was really the best blessing we could have asked for. Hanging out with just Parker has been awesome. I am physically feeling better which will help me with the girls in the evenings next week. Plus the girls are having a blast. Every night I talk to them they ask about Parker. Gweny is using the big girl potty a few times a day on her own and Hadley is LOVING life playing with all her cousins she doesn't get to see enough.
Our complete family : )
Curious as can be....
Lots of loving around here.
She is such an angel. Having this time with her is absolutely priceless. For me, Mark and Parker. We've had a great week?!?! She got to meet Mark's dad, PawPaw on Sunday night. His sisters and their families came over that night also, wanting to spoil the little lady. On Monday night we decided to get Mama out of the house because I was STIR crazy!?!?! We met my girlfriend, Holly, for dinner. It was so weird and nice going to dinner with one little one versus the two girls. It was calm and I ate my food hot. An overall great experience!!! Plus I had my first grown up drink...which resulted in a headache until the next day at noon!!!
On Tuesday night my girlfriend Kelly and her boyfriend came over to meet her and spoil us with some food also. I absolutely LOVE showing her off. I forgot how a beautiful baby can make people stop and smile. No matter where you are or what you're doing. She puts such a great smile on peoples faces. Such a blessing and only a week old.
Before her doctors appointment on Monday I did her first bath. Of course it's was a sink bath because her cord was still on Monday. She was crazy kicking, knowing what was coming. Just like most babies she hated the rag part but when I did her hair and held her head under the faucet she was in heaven...
She's so little?!?!
Happy girl with the hair cleaning...
A picture in Daddy's favorite, the afterbath pooh towel.
Fluffy hair is back.
Digging the dreads :)
She is too stinking sweet. I wish I could say we are in a routine, but not yet?!?! She does eat every three hours, except on long stretch in the mornings like 5-10. So there is hope we can shift that later in the night : ) Honestly though, not breastfeeding her on me has made this a whole new experience, in a good way once I emotionally got on board with things. I don't dread having to feed her then pump and pray she doesn't want to latch again (Gweny was every hour if anyone remembers?!?!). Plus I already have 6 servings frozen, every breastfeeding Mama's dream :)
