Evan's Bday!!

Not sure how it's possible, but Evan turned three in the middle of August...WOW?!
We made it home for his party which was a great, waterfilled time.

This was a pic from Saturday at Gma and Gpa's. This is Hadley "posing."

Uncle Doug, Jess, Mae, and our family got Evan a set of golf clubs so he can play along with Daddy and Mommy. He had to try them out. It was too precious...

Civilized playing before the water balloons came out.

Hadley wanting to be walked around...

A beautiful sunset in my parent's front yard. I never really notice the beauty of the place where I grew up, but that's one good thing about Mark being from the city. He makes me appreciate the natural beauty that we are blessed with.

18 Month Pics Part 2

So I want everyone to know that we did not pose Hadley. She got up on those steps and worked it like a swim suit model. It was ridiculously cute. And her little butt in those jeans made me want to just gobble her up. Mark wants to send it in to Maxim but I just don't think they are ready for her. Hope you enjoy!

While posting this shot I realized she is flashing the whole world, but that smile makes it okay...

First Half of 18 Month Pictures

So in the past four weeks we have seen such transformations in our baby girl. Between physical therapy and cousin therapy (those Elling grandkids can push anyone along in development when you're around them enough), Hadley has made leaps and bounds. Starting four weeks ago she was all about being walked around while holding on with both hands. She would get so frustrated when you would stop but wouldn't do it on her own. Next she started to just stand on her own learning balance. Then came Hadley's understanding to push the walker around the house like a mad woman and taking steps between daddy and mommy with coaxing. In the past week, she has realized that she can walk on her own to get what she wants. Now I turn my head and see her coming toward me and my heart swells. She can stand in the middle of the floor on her own, stop and pick things up, and still gets to us. For all the worry and prayer about her development, it is the most beautiful thing to see in action. We are so overwhelmed with pride for her that I can barely breath. In short, it made these pictures more fun as she was able to stand on her own and walk while I was taking pictures.

Hadley @ 18 Months

We had the most perfect weekend one could imagine. We had no plans and perfect weather. Two great combinations. We decided to give Hadley's 18 month pictures a whirl since next time we make it home she will be 19 months (or older). I'm going to drag out the posts as there were about 15 I really liked. These are goofy mom and dad shots and my collage of Hadley parts...my favorite!!

This is a current belly picture, entering my 37th week!!!! Hadley really makes it look worse than it is by pulling my shirt!

Gweny Update

So we had an ultrasound this week to check Gweny's size at 36 weeks, entering my ninth month...wow. I realized I hadn't been posting her ultrasound pictures. We got the initial 8 week ultrasound to see the little peanut and hear the heart beat. Next we got a 12 week ultrasound because the doppler could not pick up her heart rate, which showed us everything was okay, my placenta was just in the front. Our next ultrasound let us know it was Gweny joining us not Ollie at 20 weeks along. Then we had a 28 week ultrasound to double check a issue noted at 20 weeks which turned out to be perfect! So here are the pictures of the ultrasounds for the gestation of Gweny!!

She was incredibly stubborn on the 36 week ultrasound yesterday. The pictures he printed pretty much look like blobs. We did find out she is at 6 pounds 11 ounces already?!?!?!?! Everything looks good and we got to watch her suckling which is precious. Here's to hoping she doesn't get too big!!! The good news is that her head circumference is only in the 50th percentile whereas Hadley's was in the 90th.

Nesting

It happens to the best of us. With only 6 weeks left (the weekend we did this) I was in NEST mode. We had to get this deck done before Gweny comes as the wood was exposed and of course it happened to be the hottest weekend of the summer, just my luck. We toughed it out and 7 gallons of paint later, it was done. It looks awesome and we've already used it more in the past few weeks than we have the two years we have lived here. It helps that Hadley has her outdoor toys now which we can't get her away from!! Don't mind me in the after pictures, Mark couldn't resist.

No more horrible barn red...

Lastly, happy pictures. Hadley has somewhat learned how to smile. We just stick out our lower jaw and she smiles, it's pretty cute.

She is so good at being "shy" now days...

**No we don't discriminate against clothes that fit. These may be Christmas pj's but Mark adores the booty tight ones that old navy has and they still fit her so guess what, Christmas it is. She also has a pair of halloween ones haha!!

Ceremony

After eating breakfast, buying souveniors, and exploring on the island we headed back to the house. In time for the rain to let loose. It rained all afternoon and stopped with just enough time for the ceremony. The recent rain left it cooler, less humid, and a perfect light for pictures!! Here are just a few pictures. Mark won't let me post my favorite of the couple as that is going to be our gift. Enjoy...

A beautiful bride...

The first Magical kiss of married life!!

First picture as Mr & Mrs...

Me and my hubby...

The Goins' Family that made the trip, minus Uncle Dan

After the ceremony, we went to the island for a great dinner with everyone! Once we were done eating we headed back to the house, packed everything up and passed out. Setting our alarm, we were ready and on the road by 8 AM. We didn't roll into Cincinnati until 1230 AM that night (yes that would be 16 hours later for a 13 hour trip). Between traffic, pit stops, and of course outlet shopping in Georgia : ) we added a little extra time. As soon as we got home, we crashed waking up at 1130?!?! Next we waited for my parents to bring Hadley back in town...YEY!!!! What a weekend.

Florida Trip

I say trip very loosely as this was a quick stumble to Florida and back from Wednesday evening to Saturday- DRIVING!?! No Hadley did not go along, my parents stole her for the week...spoiling her like crazy and giving her great play time with all her little cousins on the Elling side. We left Wednesday at like 7 PM after work drove to Chattanooga to crash from about 1230-7 AM in order to start again. Next we drove the whole day to arrive at Carabelle in time for the rehearsal- LONG day for preggo lady, but I survived. The heat and humidity made me swell instantly, but it was all worth it of course!!!

First the site for the ceremony, BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Mark with the groom to be, and of course the shirt is entirely appropriate right?!

After rehearsal we ran to the house we were staying at with the groomsmen, then came back for dinner which was delicious- FRESH seafood- which I avoided don't worry but the sides were delicious also! Then we hung out until our exhaustion settled in and we went to pass out!

The next morning we slep until 9:30- SO WEIRD- got around to explore St George's Island, about fifteen minutes from Doug and Robyn's beach house. These are the public beach, we were fascinated by these seagulls for some reason!!?

There was a cute lighthouse in the center of the park...

Oh, the beach...

This has definitely been developed for ocean front property...

This was the bridge to the island.
