Thrilling Thirty

Can't believe last week I turned thirty. I honestly still feel like a kid. Twenty-one with the world ahead of me....
I do however no longer feel like what is next or when this happens. I am married with a beautiful family and living where I wanted to live by the time my kids were five. Thirty is going to be fun. Someone sent me the perfect card. She added the parts in parenthesis...

It read:
30 is...
feeling comfortable in your own skin.
realizing you can do whatever you put your mind to (always doing it!)
being surrounded by loving friends and family. (Made it happen!)
knowing you deserve to be happy...(you know this!)
Turning 30 is a celebration of the free-to-be-yourself decade!!

I couldn't agree more and love beginning the journey!

Got to assist the kiddos in doing Hadley's homework...yes I said that right. Homework in preschool. She was a little behind so we did a marathon of cutting, coloring, and pasting!!

Most people wouldn't post a first thing morning pic, but I just LOVE that Parker's got her mama's crazy bedhead...LOVE IT.

When it rains....

The past two weeks have been fairly eventful around our house. As always with my kids something is going on. Two weeks ago we got the kiddos signed up for preschool and kindergarten, which was sad and exciting all at once. Then we went to Cincinnati for a much needed visit with friends and family. Upon return, all sorts of things started going down. Gweny had a stomach bug...woohoo. Next we were at the urgent care center for Parker, upper respiratory. Then this past week we had Hadley and Gweny at the doctor for upper respiratory. Gwen also had ear infection and pinworm. Next Parker went back in on Saturday because still having symptoms. She is now being treated again for upper respiratory junk, but this time stronger, better meds. Also she has staph and yeast in the diaper zone which has improved drastically with the right meds, of course :) Monday I decided to get the stomach bug for fun, but see our week hasn't even gotten interesting yet. Today I get a call that Gwen has something lodged in her ear. She claims it was done last night when in time out. We assume it's a sqwinkie, she says yes. Take her to doc who attempts to remove with tweezers, followed by irrigation neither of which work. Then the story comes that Hadley did it to Gwen during time out last night. But then Hadley did it at Pats. No it was Reagan at  Pats, no so and so, no so and so. And mom it's not a sqwinkie it's a ball. So basically we have NO CLUE what is in her ear. We are going to ENT tomorrow to see if they can get it out. Don't even want to discuss the alternative at this point. Say a prayer....
These pics are random.
I believe the older two had the camera that day.

BIRTHDAY TIME!!!!

February is such a fun month in our house for birthdays. The weekend of their birthday party,  happened to be the week of chaos for us. I had just started my new job, was in training in Cleveland and was attempting to get a new vehicle for my lovely commute. So needless to say I was frazzled, the worst hostess, and late to my own baby girls party!?!?! They didn't notice. Specially Parker, she was just excited to be held by all her favorite people :) Hadley was loving bowling, her cake and seeing all her friends in one place!!!! Oh yeah, and of course the absurd amount of presents they both got. Pizza was served while everyone bowled, Parker didn't eat much, I think she noticed the cake and was waiting!!!

Look at this thing?!?!?! Aunt JuJu- Macayla's aunt, also known as Doug's sister Julie always takes care of the cake. Well this year she spared no expense. LOOK AT THIS THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, she really didn't figure out it was also Parker's first birthday until later that night when everyone asked why she had some cake up front with everyone. Oh goodness!!!!!

I LOVE THIS SMILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is this thing on my head mom????

The excitement on their face makes all the chaos, crowds and planning worth it. And look at that table full of goodies behind them?! Spoiled and very loved babies we have!

I'm shy, because I just realized everyone is staring at me and I dn't know what to do now...

Yey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though I didn't blow out a candle I'm pretty excited to go at this cake...

Slowly and methodically...

This is the blue frosting near comatose face...

Absolutely framable....needless to say she enjoyed her party.

Thanks to all the friends and family that made it to the party. Some traveled super far, some drove around the corner, but all were so much appreciated and loved by my kiddos!!!!!!!!! Wish it were easier for the mama socialize at these silly things, it's like the party is about the kids and not me??

Transition...

I cannot believe how much has changed for our family in the last thirty days. It really is unbelievable. Me and the girlies made the final move home the weekend of February 9th. Hadley started her new school, Thomas Edison on the 12th. Of course completely fearless. Getting on a bus for the first time, going to a new place, and doing so without mom or dad around. I had orientation in Cleveland so couldn't be there and Mark was still working in Findlay so was gone from 5a-4p.

Of course Aunt Jess, Grandma and Ms Pat were all there to support her and send me pix!

Just going for it, not even looking back. SOOOO proud of this girl.

We've had the great fortune of starting to get Parker's hospital bills. Seriously. I don't know how people do it that have chronic medical issues or hospitalization. You are reading it right. $22,494.53 that's the hospitalizations and surgery. INSANE!

Hadley and Parker celebrated birthdays!!!!!!!! Hadley is five. Where do I even begin. I just found out we were expecting her like yesterday, so it feels. She was our first everything when it comes to parenthood. The transition has caused her to have some behavior issues, but overall she really is finding herself. Helping me more than ever. Now, if she will just STOP bothering Parker. I'd be happy. She is loving being near her cousins, riding the school bus, planning to start swim lessons. They still struggle with not being able to see Grandma Bebe, Miss Holly, or pizza night on Wednesdays with pawpaw, Aunt Mandie and Uncle Jiptz. Once we are settled all the way they will see them on the weekends. We just need a LITTLE consistancy in our lives.

Parker experienced a sucker for the first time which was a HUGE mess. She also turned one, which is so crazy. She's only been in the Goins' pack for a year. Feels like forever. In her first year she definitely gave us a run for our money. Between the colic, ear infections, hospitalization. She has definitely made her presence in our family known.

We got a new car. Which had this many miles in it's first week....
It's a Dodge Dart, so far I like it. I'll like it more when it gets 40 mpg but all in due time...

I spend my "Freetime" arranging/ unpacking. This is the girls' playroom in the basement. Seriously. Ask me again what my kids need. They are so stinking spoiled it hurts...

I've been spending extra time with Parker as always, as she takes on a stomach bug. Puking and pooping on me regularly throughout the evenings/nights. All the while I can never been mad at her. This face is too much...

Mark and I worked on our garage last week...we can actually fit the car and that is the last place that really needs unpacked. I love this pic. I'm arriving home from my hour and forty minute commute just so happy to open that garage door and hear the kiddos yell MOMMMMMMY!!!

Love sharing my savings. I seriously cannot get enough of meijer. I only spent $140 and saved $52. I'm not even a huge coupon person either...

Lastly....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA just kidding. Check the date. That is from Parker but I thought it'd be funny to see if people pay attention.
NO MORE KIDS FOR US!!!

Leftover Holiday Pix

Day after Christmas, wearing our new dress up outfits and nighties eating breakfast.

It's creepy how much Parker looks just like Hadley at this age. Maybe a little less of a combover than Hadley had though :)

Miss thing has not lost her sassiness...she is always very opinionated. When things aren't going her way you will definitely know it!

Miss Holly had to spoil my kiddos, coming to their new house while I was in the hospital with Parker and bringing them so many presents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They absolutely loved them of course!

Little Ms Lily getting in on the camera action!

Post hospital picture, cruising around!
