Throwback Monday

So I was going through my emails this AM and came across these pictures. How can my girls be so grown up that they look super duper young in these pictures??? Sometimes I can't remember life before them and sometimes it feels like they've only been around for a little while. We continue to adjust, making small changes in our schedules to deal with the new jobs and commutes we both have the pleasure of dealing with. Cross your fingers and shout out some prayers as I have applied for a position in Fort Wayne. I wouldn't know what to do with myself only driving an hour each way at most. This could be exactly what we need for mommy to go back to school. Yes, you read that right. Since our life is so boring right now we are thinking about me doing post-graduate study to get my nurse practitioner's degree....
Ultimately, who knows which way the wind will blow us. The best and most exciting news is that Mark has found his niche. He absolutely loves his job with this cabinet company and he continues to network and put out feelers in the small town way surrounding his wood shop talents. He always amazes me with his skill and knowledge. He is so stinking talented. I just wish we had the time and money for him to just pursue woodworking, but we have five hungry mouths and one, well two houses to keep a float. One day. I keep reminding him we are still young, starting out if you will. He so far has entered pieces in an art competition, will be displaying somethings at a friends business in town, and now may start carrying stuff in a local boutique.
 So proud.
Okay. Enough blabbing. Enjoy the pics...

Still Around

Man it has been a busy month. Seems like every free second I get I'm not sitting on the couch nor am I near the computer- closest I get is the Kindle and I'm not savy enough to update my blog with pix on it. We continue to attempt to adjust to the chaos of our schedules which has not been easy. The girls are starting to get it, as far as bed time, mommy rolls in, we eat and it's bed time then mom and dad CRASH!
Mark started a new job and for once I can proudly say not only is he awesome at it, but HE LOVES IT!!!!!!!!! Yes you read that right. It's at a cabinet company, called Cabinets by Ebbing in Celina. Currently he is training and isn't actually a full hire until his craftmanship is evaluated but I have faith in the Lord. Mark loves this job and doesn't mind working 9 1/2 hour days so I know God will make this one work for him. It's like a play day in a awesome woodshop day in and out. Plus mama is hoping for scraps. Something about leftover granite pieces....oh the ideas.

My birthday came and went. I got some beautiful flowers from an awesome friend that just made my day!!

I've become a real life pinterest person. Did these silhouttes of the girlies for the main, downstairs half bath. Next to update the fixtures and cabinet. Ugh all in due time, but until that time you can stare at my babies while you tinkle. Bottom left is Gwen of course. Hadley on the right and parker on top as the two tone.

Next was the biggest surprise of all. Told Mark I was running in to get movies with the kiddos. Planned to run and get my mop cut and Gwen says...Mom I want my hair cut. Of course I say, no you're not serious. You have to sit still might not fit a ponytail...all the necessary arguments and she continued saying I know mom I want it cut. To here. Pointing to her chin. So we went for it. Mark had no idea. She probably lost about 7-8 inches. Now has an ADORABLE bob and I can comb her hair in two minutes versus twenty. SOOOO NICE!

She looks awesome and did a great job sitting still. I am so proud of my Gwen. Parker also got her first trim last week by Miss Pat. She sent home the clippings for me for her scrapbook and I must say she looks quite darling.
