Easter Egg Dying

I took off a day before Easter and headed to my parents for a long weekend. Bravely I tackled egg dying with the two by myself (pictures and recording?!) and of course planned shower time immediately following the fun!!

It started out sweet and innocent, everyone doing well...

Then Gweny decided to go crazy...

Spilling the dye and cracking the eggs into the bottom of the dish. All the while having fun :)

In the end Gweny and I had the dirtiest hands.

That would be an H and a flower for my Hadlebear.

This is a cracked egg which resulted in egg salad for lunch. Gweny is such a nut.

A G with a heart for Gweny-loo-loo

After our bath we headed in to visit Great Grandma Lucy

Instead of spending time with Grandma Lucy Gweny just kept playing with her animated toys

Mom's family came over on Saturday night. This is our second cousin Nola she's like 9 or 10 months. Gweny could not stop trying to take her hat off.

Gweny is so excited to find dandelions...

Gweny with our cousin Jamie

Hanging out with my little man, Mason....he continues to get SOOOO BIG

Attempting a pose.

The restaurant in Grandma's toy room was open :)

His shoe came off so Gweny was trying to help him put it on.

Shrek on Broadway

We randomly stumbled across two tickets to Shrek. I wanted to see it sooooo bad and Hadley saw the commercial and was so excited. We thought it'd be a great chance for us to have a little time with the kiddos. So Hadley and I went to see Shrek and daddy and Gweny had a little date (which lasted for about an hour prior to bed). We all went to dinner than came home to drop off our other half, get dressed and head to our show.

A rare picture with mommy and Hadley

Gweny and her belly, I have no clue.

Big blue eyes....

A girl that is so clueless about what is to come.

My best attempt at a posed picture.
On the way...

Before things get started....

A shot in the intermission....

Lastly an attempted picture with the witch which turned into Hadley completely FREAKING out. The show was actually hilarious and I would go see it again without my children :) Hadley's favorite part was when the Shrek and Princess Fiona were farting....too funny and to hear Hadley say over and over "they're tooting mommy." Overall a good night, she got sleepy toward the last two songs but made it, until we got to the car then out cold.

A Day at the Zoo!

One final shot of the foutain before we buy daddy a dozen donuts and hit the road for 5 hours :)

The next weekend we got to spend a morning at the zoo. It's so nice with the pass, we go for a couple hours to the kiddos start to lose it then come home for nap time, perfect! The girls love the goats, even when they push them around.

The could literally just stand and watch them for hours I have a feeling.

Gweny's tryin gto coax them to the fence...

We are anxiously waiting in line for the "go round" as Hadley calls it. Gweny is more excited or intrigued by her bracelet.

Hadley LOVES the merry-go-round, she would ride it all day if she could. She just loves it, look at this smile.

Gweny is smiling now, but once this thing turns on she goes into complete freak out mode.

Rarely I get in a picture, but couldn't resist this one.

So we were getting ready to leave and I forced the kiddos to do a shot in front of the beautiful tulips. Hadley clearly seems happy....ha

I know when I'm defeated so I just took a picture of the tulips without my children...

Day Three on Vacation

The morning starts off with Uncle Jiptz peek-a-boo...

Yes, I did put them in matching outfits :)

Gweny cannot get enough from Jiptz

Looking out at the water, on our way to Ripley's Aquarium.

This aquarium was pretty impressive, lots of things on the kiddos level.

At the bottom of this waterfall there were some massive fish. Gweny ran up to it so excited then they swam by and she had a compelte meltdown. It was so precious. She was a little reluctant from then on :)

Completely a lighting error with my camera, but GORGEOUS shot.

Hadley's face is worth a thousand words. We were going through a tunnel and she was on James' head putting her really close to the fish swimming throughout the tank.

That's how close she was to some HUGE sharks.

I had to fit into a really tight space....but how fun is this picture?

Yes so Hadley can barely fit....ha.

But I did it twice :)

I can NEVER get the girls to pose together. EVER, but I always try!

Posing back here scared her. You just never know how she will react to certain things.

Cool shot of the jelly fish.

No clue what this picture is of. Think it was a complete accident but I like it.

Another long, awkward crawl resulted in Hadley and I hanging out with the penguins.

Some reason they do not make things adult friendly, but I made myself fit.

Uncle Jiptz, always the trooper with the kiddos. Again, cannot get them posing?!?!

Not sure what she's doing but it's cute.

My little cuties waiting on the elevator after a long day at the aquarium.

Hadley saw DORA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and said to me "Mommy I want a picture with Dora."

We tried a new restaurant that had this fun little place to pose. Clearly Gweny loved it.

And Hadley's face is pretty amazing too.

The ski lift was much more reasonable.

After Hadley's interaction with Dora I had to find them a special gift. I got the girls little beanie babys- Dora for Hadley and Tasha (from backyardigans) for Gweny. I was the world's best mom for about ten WHOLE minutes. Hadley even said, "Mom thanks so much, you are amazing."

She actually still carries her around, pushes her in the stroller, feeds her, brushes her hair. It is her very own pal.

Gweny, who was claimed as Mandie's look alike by a couple, couldn't stop carrying her Tasha.

Continuing with tradition we closed the evening at the fountain.

Took a second for a group shot. Of course Mark's mom was taking the picture so it's not the whole group.

Hadley decided to take some pictures. Always such an interesting angle from her.

Then it was back to the room to wind down. While getting around for bed, Gweny acquired the thermometer and motrin and came running in the main room with the thermometer on her head and handing me the motrin?!?!?!?! What a nut job. Then she ran to take it back and of course dropped it and made it fall apart.

Closing the evening involved talking to Daddy. Hadley first who couldn't stop talking about the fish and Dora.

Gweny got her turn too. Then ALL of us went to bed early :)
