PICTURES!!

Gweny is now over 4 months and I STILL haven't done any pictures since her hospital pictures...not by Stacy or professional. By this time with Hadley I had four sets done and I swore that it would NOT be less for Gweny just because she was the second child (and JUST like that it happened). So I forced Mark into a photo shoot and I'm BEYOND happy with how cute they are! Enjoy my beautiful little ladies.

My Entertainment

So lately Hadley has just been so entertaining...she's the best free entertainment ever. Her latest actions are just priceless.

"Hadley, where is your cup?"
"Don't know mama."

"Hadley, dada is going to tickle you."
"Stop it dada."

"Mumble Mumble, Ella, Mae, Maw Maw, Paw Paw, Pizza, Cheech, Mumble, Bebe."

She is just all over the place. The other afternoon Mark still wasn't home and I was about to feed Gweny, Hadley was just bouncing about the house like the mad-woman she is. Out of no where, she heads down the hallway (not unusual) then I hear a THUD, hear a ka-boom (fall), and Hadley screaming. Apparently she assumed her door was open to her bedroom and walked straight into it knocking herself down. It's hard not to laugh at her when it's so funny and she's clearly upset. Parenthood is such an adventure.

Here are some of the last pictures from Christmas...

The constantly growing bunch of Elling grandkids...one more coming in June (NOT ME!)

The Goins' grandkids cheesin it up with Grandma BeBe and PawPaw

Last our tree after Santa's visit, which was emptied out at 5:30 in the morning since Hadley DEFINITELY did not sleep in Christmas Day!!!!!!

Life

We are so blessed and sometimes I am overwhelmed how emotional I can get about my family. I blame it on breastfeeding and the confusion of my emotions. We have two healthy babies that just keep amazing me everyday. Gweny had her four month check up. She weighs 15 lbs 11 ozs and is already 26 1/4 inches long?!?!?! She is in the 95th percentile and is the size of an average 7 month old!!!! She got her shots and took well to them, just the usual fussy day after. Last weekend, she decided to roll over for the first time. She did it three times in a row so I thought FOR sure it was real...but she hasn't done it since haha. Hadley is too precious of late, attempting to carry on full conversations, even including a shoulder shrug in the middle of her ramblings. Hadley's word of the week/month is cookie so everytime she says it she wants one. She also puts them in the cart at the grocery and knows exactly where they are all hidden!?!?!?!?! Too smart that one is....

A few pics left from the holiday...

Christmas Eve was spent with Beth, Eric and Claudia (born 4 weeks before Gweny) they had a great time with tummy time while the adults played Wii.

I can't resist my babies in diapers....they are TOOOOOO BIG!

Who Dey??

So this weekend we packed the hooligans up and went to BW3s to fight the chaos with the Bengals game. First time there was a first down and the cheering started Hadley straight panicked. Second time she yelled along. Third time she was even yelling "Who Deyyyy!" It was too cute. Gweny was pretty much terrified every time the cheering happened, but she napped for a good hour of the game and even more surprising is that Hadley was in control for almost the ENTIRE game?! A 2 year old in a both for two and a half hours right around bed time. Man oh man are we blessed!!

As I did with Hadley last year at Christmas, I dressed both the girls up and attempted a photo shoot in front of the tree. Hadley wasn't so interested in sitting still so there aren't many of them together, but Gweny didn't mind!!!

The Usual Chaos

A night in our house is never actually normal. You never know what Hadley and her father are going to come up with to do. She is getting so big and developmentally, just blows me away. Climbing, running, jumping (well fake jumps). Verbally she is something else. Attempting to put three or four words together and continuing with her rambling where she is really just beyond cute. She's in the monkey see monkey do and or say phase which has it's moments (think about words mom and dad might say and how cute yet wrong they are to hear repeated!!!!!!!). Gweny is just TOOO big. We are officially moving into size three diapers and packing away 3-6 month clothes. She just keeps growing. Her four month check up is next week so everyone will get to see how large and in charge she is. Back in December, the 23rd she was 15 lbs even!!!!!!!! SOOOOO BIG!!!

Enjoy the chaos...

New Year New Us

This year, Mark and I have decided to refocus on family. Our own family, spending less TV time and mroe play time. We have split the house chores down the middle and have a chore chart to share the load. We don't have the TV on until the girls are down. Play time is a PRIORITY and I must say, we are LOVING it. We started before Christmas and it's still going. I hope it doesn't stop as I know the girls are in heaven and it's so fun connecting with them. We hope to become closer with our families, enjoying the time we get together. Last, we want to make time for friends, especially those that are expecting which is a TON of our friends because becoming a parent is like joining a club....A club full of ups and downs, but most important, the most rewarding club you will ever join.

Happy New Year!

What a couple of weeks?!?! We have been so busy with multiple family get togethers. It was so nice to catch up with a lot of people we don't get to see all the time. Of course, I LOVED showing off my angels the whole time also!!! We survived the holidays with no major incidents. Hadley was sick pre-holidays but got much better with some ear drops. Gweny has been, knock on wood, sleeping through the night for about three weeks now. Like 10-12 hours. I am BEYOND proud. After church this morning, Mark and I started talking about all of our blessings in the past few years. Mark and I have only known each other for four years and we have managed to build a beautiful family. We realized 2010 is a time to ENJOY...this will be the first year there is (hopefully) no pregnancy or new baby in our home. Granted TONS of our friends and even some family are having little ones so it is our turn to enjoy these bundles. We are going to begin getting serious about planning for our big move. Granted it's probably a few more years (like 2)away but it never hurts to start planning. It's going to be a great year with Hadley turning 2 and Gweny turning 1...PARTY PARTY!!! I look forward to all the adventures that lie ahead!

Grandma still looks a little rough, but this is four generations- a priceless photo.

My family with Grandma

She just loves her great grandchildren, number 34 I believe...

Next is a view into the ridiculousness that we call home. Hadley is just a crazy little cat...

Only a diaper and socks. Man does this girl LOVE socks, santa socks, kitty socks, star socks....

I wish I could say potty training is going well but NOT so much. We have regressed, we rarely go on the potty but take lots of practice runs!! Also, the Foofa hat...what can I say every day is dress up!!!

There are a ton more pictures but I am saving them as I plan to try and get back to regular posting...
