Fun Time at Miss Holly's

Switching sitters was a very scary, sleepless time for me. I was so nervous the girls wouldn't like it or they would act out or it just wouldn't work. I was wrong, worried for nothing. My girls absolutely LOVE going to Holly's. I get little updates and pictures which makes me happy!

Floor play time with her youngest Lily.
The every classic, odd angle picture that gives them a double chin. It is sweet that they are cuddling though.

Gweny getting Lily to sit up independently! Plus how bout this hollywood wave?

Hadley looking too sweet with Kiylee. They have a grandmother that makes them these dresses?????? How awesome is that?

A princess in the making!

One day while Jessica was still on maternity leave, they came to play in Cincinnati so Mae went with Hadley to Miss Holly's. They had a blast!!!!!!!!

Remember the whole, Gweny is a monkey discussion. This is her crawling under the exersaucer!

This face is priceless...

I also LOVE this picture of Hadley, in her own little world like usual!

It looks like she won the lottery doesn't it?

Second Party : )

Two cupcakes in one weekend?!?! It's like it was her birthday or something! She was so flustered because everyone (about 15 people) crowded into our kitchen to watch the fesitivities!

Too nervous to go for it. Once everyone (including me) left the room she went nuts, even her feet were in the icing????????? Thank goodness for Grandma's cleaning up the mess and helping with dinner for everyone!

Hadley had to help sissy open her presents.

Gweny got so much good stuff, much thanks to EVERYONE!! Here she is with a Raggedy Ann- I had a fake one when I was little and honestly didn't know this is what they really looked like. She loves pulling her hair.

Holly, their sitter, was able to make it with her daughters who had to dress up for the party with beaufitul dresses!

Holly posing with her youngest Lily. She is 4 and 1/2 months younger than Gweny and doing EVERYTHING Gweny does, usually the next day. Lily actually moved ahead of Gweny, standing on her own. Little Gweny chickens out and sits down or holds on. Gweny may be whimping out there, but she CLIMBS like a monkey- seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She climbs up in Hadley's big girl rocker in her room which NEVER ends well because she hasn't learned to go feet first, belly down yet. She climbs up onto Hadley's bouncy horse where she just laughs and laughs. I must say now that we've moved her bed time up, broken the 1230 AM waking- just a quick whimper now but not a 30-45 minute ordeal- Gweny is a new girl. Fun and happy, exploring, learning. A real trip she is...

Even Claudia made it for the festivities (1 month older) and MUCH bigger. Here I thought Gweny was going to be the big girl but she's remained near 20 lbs since six months. Her one year visit put her at 21 lbs, 31 1/4 inches. Some concern about continued height and lack of weight gain but I told the doctor I feel she just got really big early :)

Birthday Party Back Home

Look at this face, looking forward to the pending sugar rush!!

And the sugar crash arrives....

Great Grandma Lucy encouraging the festivities...

Anxiously awaiting, big sister and cousins help themselves to the goods. Too sweet.

Lauren and Morgan patiently waiting for their cupcakes.

Everyone helping with presents.

It was a perfect day. Like I said previously I really can't believe she's already one. At this point with Hadley we were 3 months along in Gwenyth's journey. I knew I'd have another chance to see those first teeth, smell that baby smell, breastfeed, watch the milestones take place. We don't have that luxury this time, but I do know that it is getting time. The "itch" is there so when it is right we will aim for a #3.

My little nephew is FOUR?

Keeping with birthday themes here are the pictures from Evan's birthday party. Evan of course has always seemed older but four, I mean he rides a bus to preschool that's way too grown up. Being my first Godson I will always see Evan as my little man with precious dimples and the perfect smile!! Evan we LOVE YOU buddy and your party was a blast!!

My Baby Girl is ONE!?!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GWENYTH EMERY

It's hard for me to believe you are already one. Just yesterday you looked like this.

And were this tiny...

Where did the time go? Honestly??? I still remember going in on Saturday night (the 5th) around 10:30, knowing our lives would never be the same and Hadley was about to get a best friend. Little did I know was what WE as parents were in for with # 2. Gweny came out early and never stopped surprising us throughout her first year.
She's dead on with her milestones, cruising about just like a champion already. She will walk with a toy, walker style, but not on her own. She still doesn't sleep through the night, poor MOMMY!!!!!!!! Waking between midnight and 2 AM every night like clockwork. Worse lately, not going back down for over an hour. Doctor tells me it's not tooth pain it's a behavior, which we all know it is. She is more spoiled than her sister ever was. I don't like her crying tons at night so Hadley doesn't wake up which she has mastered getting what she wants that way- Gweny is one smart turkey!! She cries until I give up and bring her into our bed where she passes out instantly! So what do I do?? Give her a pillow and a pillow top mattress cover thinking she likes our beds comfort- WRONG. She just likes to be spoiled and close to her mommy and daddy. She has slept in our bed, geesh probably 50 times whereas Hadley has all of 3 haha.
Gweny is so sassy, better said- she is me. She will not be told no, will not have something taken away and will not be stopped from her task and if you do any of those things she will let you have it. She will not be put to bed, rather she will fall asleep on her own. She is so full of happiness, adoring her older sister. Following her around and laughing at anything she does. Gweny is part 2 in our adventure that will always keep us on our toes...
