Cheetahs!

All thanks to a flyer last Spring, we signed Hadley up for SAY soccer. I had no clue what she was getting into and we all know she had no idea. Um, "So do I kick that ball or what?!" was her take at first. Having never done an organized sport I was so proud of her progress. She started out lost. No basic skills. Usually picking flowers or dancing. In the end she was able to run and kick, even had some clue that she was on defense and needed to kick that ball!!

Many props to the coaches as that was no easy group to corral.

Pregame knell to check for metal!

Hadley got to be captain a few times.

Best fan!

Captaina gain, her and Elyssa who is in her class at school.

Clearly not watching her team play.

It was a close game. Cheetah's made it into the final game for the tournament. In the last few minutes they lost, but definitely played their hearts out!

Josh and his dad Johnny (who coached me as a kid) give them a great speech.

Look how little Hadley's team was!!!! So tough though.

The coaches were forced in for a picture.

Look at this girl posing it up. Medal on and just so happy that she got to play!

First Days of School

Both girls started school on the same day!!!!!! Gweny waiting for her first ever bus ride (about 45 minutes after Hadley left).

Hadley waiting so patiently :) She's an old pro, little did she realize it was EVERYDAY. No more days of playing at Miss Pat's it's business time now!

Sign's hard to read because the light. But Hadley's first day of Kindergarten as a Lincolnview Lancer!
She is five.  She loves any craft known to man kind. Does well singing and playing. She loves the Kratt brother's show. She is excited since she has already met Mrs Bowersock at the local campground this summer.

Gweny's very first bus ride with her first day of preschool. Since the day I dropped Hadley off last fall she has begged and pleaded to go to school. Who know it would come so fast?? She was 3 when school started. Has Mrs Owen's as her teacher, goes Monday and Wednesday. She loves doing whatever her sister does :) Trying to learn counting and shapes :) She LOVES spiderman!

Blurry, but the after shots show they loved school!!!! Hadley coming home...

Gweny shy, but she learned to sleep on the bus!

I cannot believe they are both in school. They will always be babies in my mind. ALWAYS!

The many faces of the Goins' girls

I continue to be amazed by how grown up Parker is. She is determined she can do anything her older sisters can do and has started throwing fits in the high chair, but is happy at the table!

Sooo happy...

Gwen's getting good at some crazy faces!!

Me too!!

Goodness gracious!

Snug as three bugs in a rug!

I have nothing here...

Cheesy cheese...

How I feel every morning.

Oh girlie girl!

Coldwater Lake

It's so fun getting a chance to visit my sister at their lake.  There's never a dull moment in the park with all their neighbors whom I have grown to love over the eight or so years I've been going up. In addition I love getting to see the kids push their limits in the water. My kiddos do not get tons of water experience but this summer, the one trip, they became FISH???????

Little man showing us the ropes!

These two weren't sure right away about tubing so they watched for the first round. Mae is showing em like a real pro!

Hadley decided as long as she had a passenger she could go for it...

Nailed it. They loved it!

After a day of sun and water it was cuddle time!

Grandma and grandpa spoiling their kiddos (and enjoying adult beverages)!

Oh me oh my that is some fantastic water and sand hair.

This series of photos gives you a peek into what I do in order to attempt a picture. They despise sitting still and it makes me nuts. So I try, try, and try again....HA nightmare.

Out on Sunday for some last minute riding...

Two peas in a pod...

Oh mister.

Mae for round two!

Convinced Gweny to give it a whirl. My back and butt may never be the same even though it lasted a matter of two minutes. She was in utter panic IMMEDIATELY!

However quickly recovered...

Good times. Great memories. So blessed.

Projects

My mom bought this chair in 1978 for my brother and then used it for all of us kids. She was planning to take it to a garage sale until I confiscated it...with plans of some sort to get rid of that gold and seal it up so it could be my porch, reading chair.

After a lot of weeks of sanding, paint choices, multiple coats, and a final furniture seal and here is the end product. Mark suggested the yellow, I was just planning on blue. He doesn't know Lincolnview colors, but amazingly appropriate for this Lancer house :)

Our television stand has always driven me nuts. I feel like I restack the videos daily, move things here and there and clean the finger prints off?!?! So now that we don't have cable and need to be able to actually access devices behind the glass, I decided to make it a project. From boring.....

To fun :)
