Quick Trip- Fire Trucks and Birthday Partys!!

We planned to come home for a weekend, which resulted in coming home on a Saturday around lunch then heading back out Sunday- whirlwind!!! It happened to be the weekend of Middle Points Firemen's Picnic so we went to support the local crew. After a yummy meal the kiddos got a tour of the wheels. Gweny was terrified at first- sprinting away.
Ella and Hadley weren't too sure until they offered to open the door and gave firemen's hats!

That brought Gweny back who just couldn't get in the truck where she wanted.

Ella even got to wear a real helmet!

Then Evan had to get in on the action!

Next we went into the ambulance where Ella got her oxygen level read and she could even see her heartbeat, just soooooo coool.

That was all the fun for one night. The next day was Mason's First Birthday party. Yes, little Bubba is a year old already. Jessica wanted to do a teddy bear cake so I attempted to decorate in a very short period of time.

The three amigos had fun playing, of course they couldn't slow down for a shot.

This just looks like trouble doesn't it?

Of course my camera battery claims being "exhausted" right when the going got good. At one point his entire face was in the cake and all you could see were his eye balls. It was precious. We got to see him open a few gifts but we had to get on the road (didn't get home until almost ten). Happy Birthday Bubba, these kids have got to stop growing up so fast!
